Veolia Marches Together with Pride
Veolia colleagues and allies from across the country walked in London’s Pride parade alongside their electric refuse collection fleet decked out with a rainbow of footprints in a sustainable and sparkling celebration of diversity and unity.
Veolia celebrated and supported its diverse workforce and the LGBTQIA+ communities they serve by marching in London’s Pride parade last weekend with over seventy colleagues from across the country.
The wider Veolia community was present with colleagues across the business contributing the footprints that adorned their collection vehicles, demonstrating their commitment to march together. These colourful footprints that make up their LGBTQIA+ progress Pride flag represent the people at the very centre of their 2023 Pride campaign, each footprint a message of support and solidarity.
Veolia’s dedication to the day continued after the parade. When the celebration was over, Veolia Westminster and their rainbow-coloured fleet took to the streets to collect waste from the festivities. Veolia’s collection vehicles will proudly wear their Pride flags all year round as they clean up Westminster.
Helder Branco, Veolia Westminster General Manager said:

Kris Phelps, Veolia Inclusion and Wellbeing Lead said:
“This is our second year of attending Pride In London and it’s inspiring to see colleagues company-wide honouring their commitment to our values of respect and community spirit through their participation in this year’s parade. Their colourful footprints on our collection vehicles and branding represent the people at the centre of the campaign and the message of support and solidarity. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community I feel immensely proud to work for Veolia.”
