Offsetting Carbon Emissions with Enhanced Weathering

Offsetting is the process of balancing carbon emissions by purchasing and retiring carbon removal credits. Carbon removal allows companies to offset emissions that cannot be reduced to reach Net Zero carbon emissions. Enhanced weathering is a high-quality and durable carbon removal strategy that includes spreading natural rock dust, such as basalt, on land to accelerate the natural process of carbon sequestration. The process captures atmospheric carbon dioxide and stores it in the soil and river and ocean systems for over 10,000 years.  

Our direct measurement approach generates over 250 data points to validate and verify the carbon removal process in line with a public and scientifically approved methodology. The full carbon footprint emissions of the operation are subtracted from the carbon removed to ensure each carbon credit represents 1 tonne of carbon removed. 

Our scientific approach ensures that our carbon credits are highly robust and can be trusted by companies that want to offset their carbon emissions and invest in carbon removal credits. All of our calculations are independently audited and each carbon removal credit is listed on a public registry.
