GDPR - How we can help
Businesses are collecting and handling more personal data than ever before. The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the Data Protection Directive on May 25th 2018, and is designed to harmonise data privacy laws across Europe.
When GDPR comes into force in May 2018, the new regulation will mean that your business must be more open and transparent when managing personal data, including the possible destruction of records.
The secure destruction of personal data is a key component of GDPR. Your business is at risk of fines up to €20m or 4% of turnover, whichever is the greater if you do not securely manage data and its disposal. Fines can be levied for other information security infringements at the lower rate of 2% or €10m.
Our confidential waste and secure destruction services ensure that your data cannot be recovered - whether it is paper-based or stored on hard drives - not only helping you comply with GDPR but also avoid damaging your brand and potential enforcement action too.
