Veolia uses pink ice to raise money for breast cancer

Waste bosses from Veolia in Southwark braved the pink ice bucket challenge to help raise money for breast cancer research.

Fabrice Bouchon, General Manager for Veolia in Southwark and ice bucket challenger said, "What great fun, very cold and exhilarating, however I'm thrilled that myself and waste supervisor Tej Mann managed to raise £100 for such a great cause."

The Southwark Integrated Waste Management Facility also planned other fun offerings on the day to help raise money includinga cake baking challenge, identify the Veolia employee baby photo competition and everyone supported the day by wearing pink clothing. In total £185 was raised for breast cancer research’.

All activities were in support of national Wear it Pink Day and all money raised will go to support breast cancer research. This is the fifth year that Veolia, recycling and waste partners of Southwark Council has taken part in raising money for breast cancer awareness.
