Hop to it and recycle this Easter

All black bin and blue bin and box collections will take place as usual on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Residents are reminded to put their bins and boxes out by 7am on their normal collection day.

The garden waste collection service also begins again this month. Residents can take advantage of the convenient fortnightly kerbside collection for less than £2 per week. To make being green even easier this Easter, the one-off payment of £55.14 can be made online at www.veolia.co.uk/sheffield. The necessary payment must be made by Friday 3 April to receive all collections. Residents can also sign up partway through the service at a reduced rate.

Unwanted garden waste, extra recycling and bulky household items such as wardrobes and TV’s  can also be recycled for free at any of the city’s five Household Waste Recycling Centres, which also open as normal throughout the Easter holidays.
